If you manage to get a 401 back from the sipXecs, this suggests that
your remote phone and sipX can talk to each other.  I do not know why
sipXecs rejects the phone's credentials but it is usually caused by
wrong password, wrong domain or invalid parameters present in the to:
field.  Please send me a snapshot of the problem and I'll try to
understand why your registration is not accepted.
