Ahh... not as in "*...@#$@ I just got hit in my gafachi".

Be that as it may, you'll need sipXbridge to do the ITSP connection,
they need to send to you on 5080 and then you'll have to look at the
other pieces on the sipXbridge config page of the Wiki and tweak from
one of those.

I'm not sure what Gafachi is (sounds like a place I don't want to get
hit in).

Try a different client?? Start with the tried and true x-Lite.

Subject: Re: [sipx-users] how to configure with Gafachi?

At first I installed sipx behind our firewall (1:! NAT) inside our
datacenter, and the sip phone is connecting from another network (home).
The phone is able to register to the server. i have setup gafachi as a
gateway, but in SBC i wasn't sure what to put, so I created an unmanaged
SBC (then later tried the internal sipxbrodge-1 with no luck) and put in
gafachi's IP there as well. that didn't work.

so after playing with the settings all night, I decided to reinstall,
but this time outside the firewall. Now it has a public IP. The
sipphone can still register. I did not configure SBC since it's not
longer doing NAT.

Now I can make calls from the sip phone but there is no sound coming
through.... As for incoming (also gafachi for origination of 8xx
number), still no luck.

Also, I would prefer to put the box behind the firewall. Any advice?

Thanks

Does Gafachi require you to have a static IP for sending/receiving?

You should elaborate and detail how you are traversing to the Internet
with sipx (separate SBC, sipXbridge, firewall, etc.).

In this case I understand Gafachi is a wholesale terminator/originator
and offers ITSP trunks.

Have you visited the wiki on setting up an ITSP runk using sipXbridge?

Gafachi is not on the list, but it doesn't mean it won't work.

Subject: [sipx-users] how to configure with Gafachi?

Hi.

I'm able to set up sipx with my server and my test phone is able to
register to it. However, I'm not sure how to configure gafachi for
incoming (origination) and outgoing (termination). I have checked their
docs and the setup info on their site is more tailored to asterisk
boxes.

Has anyone used gafachi with sipxecs? How can I configure it for
gateway so I can make and receive calls using this provider?

Thanks
