I am a newby so please be patient. I recenlty installed sipX and got it working
with our ITSP (Broadvox -- which has been excellent) and two Snom 300 phones.
We wanted additional features with the handset so we purchase two new
Soundpoint IP 560 handsets (firmware 3.0.4.0061).

I followed the instructions here
(http://sipx-wiki.calivia.com/index.php/HowTo_configure_Polycom_SoundPoint_IP_phones_with_sipX)
for configuring my new devices and everything appears to have worked properly
on the sipX server side of the equation (device files appear to be created
properly on the server and DHCP server is set to provide the TFTP server
information).

The issue is both phones go through the startup process, however appear to hang
on the welcome screen (which states "processing configuration...this make take
a few seconds"). The question is how long are a few seconds? Next, I have
un-plugged/re-plugged the device (power is coming from our PoE switch) and the
same thing happens each time on each phone. The phone's screen shows the MAC
address and the IP address it received from the server. I verified that the MAC
address matches the config files created on the sipX server.

Anyone experience this before? Any ideas on how I can get these devices to work
with sipX?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,
-Jeff Lucido
