Ok. Thanks for clarifying this. Is it possible to consider tls on certain "zones"?
Certainly as an option in conneCing to ITSP's ( should they also support it) and remote users. Phone (endpoint) support makes the most immediate sense to me. Seconded by ITSP/siptrunk connections. It also makes sense for secure tls connections (whether this be via siptrunk or unmanaged gateway) between branches via the internet (no vpn). My 2 cents. ============================ Tony Graziano, Manager Telephone: 434.984.8430 Fax: 434.984.8431 Email: [email protected] LAN/Telephony/Security and Control Systems Helpdesk: Telephone: 434.984.8426 Fax: 434.984.8427 Helpdesk Contract Customers: http://www.myitdepartment.net/gethelp/ ----- Original Message ----- From: Dale Worley <[email protected]> To: Tony Graziano <[email protected]> Cc: sipX-users <[email protected]> Sent: Tue Nov 03 15:27:31 2009 Subject: Re: [sipx-users] TLS support On Tue, 2009-11-03 at 15:23 -0500, Tony Graziano wrote: > Is there a JIRA tracker for this so someone can see what components > will be included (sipXbridge, etc.)? Not yet, since we don't really know what needs to be done. The work I am doing is "infrastructure" work that is necessary, but not visible at the user level. We first need to get people's opinions/votes on how and where they want TLS supported.
