On all of the EFK blind-transfer examples I've seen, you setup a prompt to
enter the destination extension. I've tried this, and this works fine. The
problem is that if you want to transfer using a speed-dial key, when you press
the key, it does not mimic typing into the EFK prompt. Instead, it ignores the
in-process EFK function and dials-up a new call.

I'm pretty sure I tried this approach with both 3.1.3 and 3.2.x.

Has anyone actually got this to work with BLF speed-dial keys?

Scott.

3.2 firmware has known issues. I would try the EFK approach with 3.1.3RevC.

Yes--- Just as a test to try to get around this attended transfer problem.

Scott.

Are you trying 3.2 firmware on a 4.0.4 system?

On the 3.2.2 firmware, I can confirm that attended transfer still does NOT
always work correctly, especially if there are multiple lines registered on
the phones involved in the transfer.

Here's what sometimes happens here when attempting the "attended" transfer:
1) The transferring phone winds up connected to voicemail of the
transferred-to extension.
2) The transferred-to phone rings.
3a) If the party answers, the call is transferred successfully, (except for
#1)
3b) If the party doesn't answer, the call drops.

(By attended transfer, I mean turning on "AllowTransferOnProceeding", and
having the transferring party hang-up before the transferred-to extension
answers)

I've also tried to use the EFK to setup a blind transfer soft-key. This
didn't work either, because as far as I can tell, there is no way to use
this function to transfer to a speed-dial BLF key (required for our
attendant).

So, yes, this is an ongoing frustration.

This one was discussed quite a bit several months ago and it's been
the source of much pain and suffering for customers. Especially new
customers who expect to transfer and "Hang-up". Is there still a way
to force a blind transfer without pressing the "blind" key before
transferring?

Has anyone confirmed proper behavior in 3.2.x firmware (Yes, I know
there are other issues with 3.2)?
