after various re-arrangements of the lines (order), it seems some are
working fully, some are having this voicemail/internal extension iussue (and
still calling externaly fine), with a trace i can see the invite's being
sent from the phone to sipx, there dosen't seem to be any consistency with
which ones work and which don't, I will further investigate this and
establish some more info.

these lines are also attached to other phones and work fine. it could be a
firmware bug with 8.3.5 for this 7970, not sure at this stage.
