Scott (or someone else who can help),

I've looked more at the Acme phone configuration information
page, but probably because some of the code file links are
missing and because I'm new to sipx, the instructions are
not complete enough for me to update the system
autoconfiguration for the new beta grandstream firmware.

Since the new grandstream phone beta firmware seems to work
rather well with sipx, I'd like to update its
autoconfiguration files, add support for the phonebook, and
contribute my work to the project, but here are my
questions:

If I have installed the ISO version of 4.0.4 or 4.1.7, what
else, if anything, do I need to install on the system to be
able to recreate the existing grandstream autoconfiguration
information?

How exactly would I go about recompiling (for lack of a
better word) the existing grandstream configuration
information before I make any changes?

I think that once I can locate the files necessary to
recreate the grandstream autoconfig environment I should be
able to make the needed changes.

Thanks.
