Hmm. Step 5 doesn't exist for me. After 4, I have the list of ring tones, but I don't see where I can select "Attendant Calls"
This site seems to say the same thing you said
http://knowledgebase.polycom.com/knowledgebase/End%20User/Tech%20Alerts/Audio/SoundPoint_IP_Enhanced_BLF_QT37381.pdf
but it still isn't what I am seeing. Am I missing something obvious here?

It will ring if there is a ringtone set for "attendant calls" locally on the phone. To fix this, set the ringtone to "silent" for attendant calls.

   1. Press the *Menu* button.
   2. Select the *Settings...* menu item.
   3. Select the *Basic...* menu item.
   4. Select the *Ring Type...* menu item.
   5. Select *Attendant Calls*.
   6. Select your preferred ringtone, or select *Silent*. You may
sample them by pressing the *Play* softkey.

Not to be a pest, but I'm pretty sure someone else on here is monitoring
call parks with Speed dial/presence. Can you verify if the phone
(polycom 550) monitoring it rings every time a call is parked? It would
really help if I knew if this is something that can;t be fixed, might be
able to be fixed, fixed with new polycom firmware, etc.

Thanks as always!

I'm not using a headset. I'm running 3.1.3C split. I'm confident of
that, but I can't find a way to double check remotely. The web
interface for the phone doesn't seem to give any indication of the
firmware.
I can try upgrading when it is supported within Sipx.
As for the comment farther down, I don't see any options around the
ringing settings mentioning "ring on primary extension only".
I know there have been other discussions about people monitoring call
parking with this method. Do others see the same behavior and just
deal with it?

Thanks for your help!

Also, there was a bug in an older version of Polycom firmware. If you
had any kind of headset attached, you would hear a ring on it for all
the presence notifications even though the phone itself did not. This
may be related to that issue depending on your setup.

I thought I checked everywhere, but I could have easily missed it. I'm
at the airport now, but I will check again tomorrow.

Did you check the sipXecs settings in the Polycom around ringing? You
might be able to make it ring on primary extension only.

Subject: [sipx-users] Disable ring on presence speed dial for parked
call

I'm running Sipx 4.0.4, sixbridge, Verizon VOIP, No firewall (not
needed, private connection), Polycom 450s and 550s - bootrom 4.2.1,
firmware 3.1.3C split.
This facility has one person answer almost every call and put it on a
parked extension. I set the main admins 550 to monitor the three busiest

parking extensions. I added them in speed dial and checked the subscribe

to presence box. It works great except for one thing. Every time a call
is parked to one of those 3 extensions, her phone rings. People keep
hearing that rings and running to her phone to try and answer. IS there
any way to stop her 550 from ringing when a call is parked to an
extension she monitors?

Thanks,
Matthew
