Have you tried it with a soft client to make sure it's not your phones?

At least in 4.2.0 I can recover the failed call. If voip.ms can't support it, than that is one thing. If generically, sipx can't support static registrations than that is another issue. My hopes is that these is someone on this list that has a different provider, using static registrations (on port 5080).
