Hi all,

I just installed a Mediant 1000 gateway, uploaded the generated config for it
(pretty standard), and that works like a charm. But: when a call comes in from
the PSTN to the gateway with a CLI which is the same as a user defined in
sipXecs, then sipXecs will ask for 407 proxy authentication, which the Mediant
obviously cannot provide.

I know having users with the same ID as possible incoming CLI's does not make
much sense in a real deployment, but this is a test-platform in which it is
that way.

2 questions:

1) Does this sounds like a bug, or is sipXecs designed this way (matching
from:/contact: address before matching on a configured gateway)

2) As a workaround, I can define a prefix in the Mediant web interface to add
to the incoming CLI's, which obviously works (in the web interface: Protocol
Configuration => Manipulation Tables => Source Number Tel->IP). This is kind of
a solution, the question remains if these setting can be done from the sipXecs
configuration, otherwise I have to manually configure the Mediant.

Kind regards,

Eelco Brölman
