the only thing I checked, because both conditions are true is:

Enable NAT Traversal
Enables NAT traversal capabilities in support of remote workers and
remote servers behind NAT

Server behind NAT
Needs to be checked when the server is deployed behind a NAT/Firewall.

I think you mistakenly have "enable internet calling turned on". It does not
need to be.

Tony, you were correct; it seems the netopia 3346n-ent routers have ALG turned
on (no thanks to motorolas support... I had to dig to find this out). Tto turn
it off you have to run the following command:  "no ip nat alg sip enable"
withut the quotes.

Now I register like this; <sip:[email protected]:49152;x-sipX-privcontact=192.X.X.X>

Everythign looks fine except I still get the User is not available when I make
a call to the extension... i even turned on the keep alive and set it to 30

Any more ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

What I assume from this is the phone HAS the public IP address listed. If not,
the mechanism used to traverse nat (since it is also routed), is where you
should look if the phone indeed has a private IP address.

I would strongly suspect an ALG/SPI or PROXY is sitting in the way at the other
end. I know you said it dont, but I think you need to look closer.

My 2 cents.

Your example is exactly how it is when the phone is not on the same ISP network
as my SIPX box.

for this customer I had a 3Mb line installed and all their remote location have
ADSL.  If i plug the phone in my office LAN it registers perfectly just simular
to your example below... but when I bring the phone to a remtoe location it
registers like this:
No nat ([email protected]:49154;x-sipX-nonat>)

Heres an example:

These are at one location, going through a local firewall, coming back to
register. They are all polycom phones.

Sipx in this instance is behind nat as well.

Have you tried turning on Nat Traversal?  Your original email indicates it
is turned off.

Whether it is the same ISP I dont believe will play into this.   At the far
end, are you doing NAT?  Are you doing NAT at the near end?

I have Polycom IP 335 with Sipx ver 4.2 and I did open the ports correctly.
The phones registers and work perfectly from my offices but at the clients

location they registe as NO Nat because Im thinking its the same ISP
network??? I may be wrong on this....

I have no issues with the setup..

This information is inacurate.  The phone port can be something other than
5060.  Depends on the phone and sipX can work with any port the phone
chooses.
