this is an INVALID, NOT RFC COMPLIANT MX RECORD. AN MX RECORD MUST BE A CNAME, NOT AN ALIAS, NOT A PTR (ip)

whoever is in charge should read up on the specs and fix this unless they just don't want to support the email list anymore.

 host -t mx list.sipfoundry.org
list.sipfoundry.org mail is handled by 20 67.221.235.27.

an a record MIGHT work, but might also get email bounced or blocked if the mailing list sends an email to an aggressive anti-spam system that refuses email from (bogus, forged, spammer smelling) email address.

they really should fix this.

and, yes, the mx record can be list.sipfoundry.org (NOT THE IP ADDRESS)
