I recently received a Nokia E71 phone and am trying to set it up as a remote worker phone. I have successfully configured a few other devices as remote worker phones, but am having a problem getting the phone to register.
I found local instructions here: http://list.sipfoundry.org/archive/sipx-users/msg08941.html I also found instructions for Asterisk here: http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/feature-voip-with-nokia-e71-how-to-2008095/ However, I still can't get it to register. I'm wondering if this device support DNS SRV? Should I enter mydomin.com or sipx.mydomain.local for the server name? Could someone tell me what I need to do differently than what's listed in the instructions in the links above? I have been able to register it directly to voip.ms. Thanks! Tim
