I have noticed that an outgoing INVITE is “stuck” in sipxProxy for 1.5 seconds
before it is sent out.
This is if the destination is soft phone or a SIP trunk not using sipXBridge.
When sipXBridge is used,
this delay is not seen.

See attached gif for screenshot from wireshark. I have also attached the
relevant lines from the sipxproxy.log.
The delay can be seen in line 505.

Call setup times is VERY important to us, so this 1.5 seconds is something we
must avoid.

1.5 seconds is the length of time it takes the proxy to give up attempting to
contact a non-responding address. So I suspect that an invalid destination for
the call is being generated.

I can't look at it today, but I should be able to get to it Monday. Can you
set all the components to DEBUG level then execute one of these failed calls
and get a snapshot? The underlying problem may be in another component than
the proxy. Unfortunately, I can't retrieve attachments from e-mail, so could
you please put it someplace I can access and send me (privately) the URL for it?

Thanks,

Dale
