The provider that uses the P-identity for authentication does not work.

it must be a friday, or I must really be stupid, but I don't understand your answer.

you said 'this provider uses ip authentication'.
are you saying THAT one works?

and some other requires you to use put something into the p-identity field for it to work? do they also want a username/password in the gateway field?
do you 'initialize on registration'?

some things I found out, which are 'strange'.
when changing itsp gateway information, it doesn't always 'take'. you can change it to the right paramaters, and test it, and it never really got tested that way.

watch the 'job status' after you change the gateway account. wait till its all done (could take 2 mins), then for good measure, highlight the gateway account and 'send profiles' (someone more intellegent then me may tell me you don't have to send profiles, then why is it there?) then watch job status.

THEN, AND ONLY THEN, can you restart the services (and watch the job status)

I went for about 3 days testing every button I could, but later found out that I needed to totally delete the gateway and itsp account and put it back in correctly for it to actually work.

don't know why.
