+1 on the Bria control proposal

This has burned me also and huge waste of time.

I have wasted around 80 hours tracking issues with every single version
of the bria phone with them. not one helpful hint, clue or resolution
from them. I think their support system really only works for very
large customers.

Now I have to try to convince them to make 3.0 available again... such a
broken record with them. I have posted a reply, we have told everyone to
resist clicking the upgrade option... I would again emphasize being able
to control the codeserver url via sipx would be handy, because you can
fake it until you know something works, then push it out... then fake it
again.

Have you called them yet?

I can confirm this. I was actually running 3.1.1 which was operating
fine and now with 3.1.2 they broke it again..

The update must have been specifically to break it as having it working
is clearly not acceptable...

I had counterpath issues today... like that is any surprise. They
started notifying users of an update. 3.0 users who are entitled now get
a 3.1 version installed. Presence is now broken (again). Does anyone
"know" if this works? Now contacts are showing up 4 times, and presence
is not working.

I think a JIRA to block or specify codeservers for Counterpath phones
should be in order. That way an admin can at least figure out a way to
"control" the upgrade process instead of being chaotically introduced to
bugs...

Why do mathematicians always confuse Halloween and Christmas?
Because 31 Oct = 25 Dec.
