Additionally, if you start modifying the content of emails, you will be
liable for any content that is there, there are plenty of legal precedents
on that.  If someone puts something libelous in an email, the owners of the
site can be legally responsible.  If  you have a policy of never modifying
content, those that send bad mojo, are responsible for it.

So it's one thing for the mailing list to add a subject line or put X
headers in, or add footers.  But changing the actual users content
with procmail, not matter how beneficial is evil.  Mail administrators
should not mangle the body of the message.  If you don't want your sip
uri public, don't put it on a public mailing list.  Now if we want to
agree on some obfuscation that users themselves do, that's another
thing.    Plus aren't we eventually moving to forums (ugh!) so
whatever we would do would be short lived, and possibly not
sustainable going forward.
