You should be able to look at these logs from either end.
With Sipxecs, the logs are located in /var/log/sipxpbx I would delete the existing log files, and then recreate the event. Rather than questioning why sipXecs returns an Unauthorized, I'd look at why this product is not sending credentials correctly.
