You are following instructions that are not on the wiki page: http://files.freeswitch.org/g729/INSTALL.txt
<http://files.freeswitch.org/g729/INSTALL.txt>You should ignore those in the package install.txt I think. Read the wiki page and follow it, I updated it today to reflect steps I took. I will note: YOU DO NOT NEED TO MANUALLY LOAD mod_com_g729, you need to follow the instructions to activate the change in the media server to ensure the codec is detected and loaded. You can surely use the fs_cli to show the modules loaded after that point if you desire it. cd /usr/tmp wget http://files.freeswitch.org/g729/fsg729-158-installer sh ./fsg729-158-installer /usr/local/freeswitch/bin/ ./validator On Fri, Oct 29, 2010 at 2:24 AM, James Black <[email protected]>wrote: > Hi All, > > > > I am trying to install a licensed g729ab codec from freeswitch.org onto > our sipXconfig (4.2.1-018971.dhubler 2010-08-21T04:59:18 build34) > > This is so that our incoming calls can terminate to voicemail / AA.
