If you're using Polycom phones what you could possibly do is set up an EFK for
each site as documented here:
http://sites.google.com/site/sipxecstipsandtricks/polycom-phones and have them
press a "PickUp" EFK button and enter the "park slot" and have the polycom EFK
function tack on the *4 in the action.string similar to the "intercom" EFK
button on that page.

Subject: [sipx-users] Latest and greatest method to park/distribute a call

As I slowly replace old systems at remote locations, I have to mirror their
current setup. Even if I don't like it, that is what I have to do.
Several of the sites have a single person answer all calls, put the call on
hold, and then page "Bob, call on line 1".
With Sipx, Verizon sip trunk, and Polycom 450/550s, we have been parking the
call on 41, 42, 43, etc, then paging "Bob you have a call on *41"
This has not always gone over well. They get used to it, but prefer their old
school method.
I'm about to do my first 4.2.1 implementation where this is the desired setup.
All others have been 4.0.4. With some of the advances with shared lines, is
parking still the closest you can come to this setup? These sites have around
15 - 20 phones. The newest firmware I have had success with is 3.2.1b. I've had
trouble with anything newer.

Thanks,
Matthew
