Ok thanks it's clear J I understand that config server redundancy is not something you would want to be redundant before anything else.
But was just curious, and forgot all about the backup mechanism J Making a backup from the config server and restoring this when it fails is good enough J But the thing I would like the most is the config server role to be separate from any other role, but maybe this is very difficult to realize, I haven't looked into this thing. Now it seems the master server takes a lot of heat since it has to have voicemail, primairy sip router and trunk and management, but that's just my observation J From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Michael Picher Sent: donderdag 23 december 2010 12:02 To: Discussion list for users of sipXecs software Subject: Re: [sipx-users] Move server role 'voicemail' on HA system Henry, I think at some point in the not too distant future we'll need to have a mechanism for a redundant configuration server. This may be active all the time or maybe some sort of 'election' will need to be forced. With all of the web services that are being implemented they'll need to be redundant too... Mike
