there are no known issues with upgrading from 4.2.1 to 4.4 so I would encourage people try this on a *non-production* box and report any issues. More reported bugs may delay the release, but it just means we have a better release. as far as backing up an older version and restoring onto a newer one, yes, that *used* to be discouraged, but I think the policy changed on that at some point. Can anyone confirm that?
