I haven't tried that. Rebooting the phone fixes it for a while. I'll be back in 
the office tomorrow and give it a shot. I had no idea there was an infrared 
sensor. I thought there was a physical connector.

Make sure the infrared sensor path is clean and free of debris on both the 
phone and the sidecar (you'll see it when you pull the sidecar off. It's a 
small dark plastic spot). Does a reseat of the sidecar cause it to start 
behaving normally for a while?

My corporate office (180 phones) and 2 small remote offices are both doing 
well. My only issue is the one 650 with a sidecar. The sidecar keeps locking 
up, dying, or showing incorrect information. It seems to have done this with 
every firmware we have tried except 3.1.3c. Other than that, everything has 
been perfect. I'm actually finishing an install as I write this.
