Regarding "Remembering the pickup number" I just add a "Pickup" speed dial 
button with the *78+hunt number in it so users don't have to remember it.

I depends on your environment. If the call group is small enough and you have 
the extra line appearances, I normally create a new line and put it on several 
phones in lieu of a hunt group... I typically keep that to no more than 5 
phones though.
