Okay, I've started looking at the sipxbridge.xml and it looks like the
"Use public address..." setting is using the "external-address" instead
of the global-address. Is the external address supposed to be my public
IP or my internal IP?
<bridge-configuration>
<global-address>70.xxx.xxx.xxx</global-address>
<external-address>192.168.81.23</external-address>
<external-port>5080</external-port>
<local-address>192.168.81.23</local-address>
<local-port>5090</local-port>
<enable-bridge-proxy-relay>false</enable-bridge-proxy-relay>
With the "Use Public address.." checked it uses the external address and
unchecked uses the global address. This still seems backwards, but not
if your server is using a public IP and not NATing... Maybe my
configuration is wrong and I'm sure where the "external-address" is
configured.

What you should do is inspect the gateway profile after it is created. I
would create two profiles for skype (1 with the box checked and the
other without). I would compare them manually in the event the template
needs to be adjusted/fixed. Once you do this and have a smoking gun,
please open a JIRA to ask to get it resolved.

Hmm, I got registration to work but this must be a bug. My server is
behind a firewall with NAT and "Public IP Address" in the server
settings is set to the external IP of the firewall. In the Skype for SIP
template ITSP Account Advanced Settings is the "Use public address for
call setup". The default for this is checked and I had to uncheck it to
make the registration work, which ain't right. ;-)

Not using STUN and using NAT. Public IP is set to the firewall IP. I'm
using another ITSP and another unmanaged gateway, everything it works
fine, but so far I cannot get Skype to authenticate. I see packets sent
to sip.skype.com but nothing ever in return. I recreated profile in
Skype Manager several times, regenerated password, changed ports, tried
UDP/TCP/AUTO...
BTW - If set the port to "5060" in the Skype template page on SIPX,
nothing is sent, but set to "0", it does send packets.
Only thing I've not tried is rebooting the entire SIPX server...

Check your STUN server / nat traversal stuff...

Skype for SIP? I am supposed to put something in the "Authentication
