That's what I've come up with also but figured it was worth asking as 
sometimes, there are things which aren't very well documented.
Now, when you say don't confuse the two, you mean that even if I found this, 
they cannot interact?

I'm not having much luck so far. I've asked this in several forums and lists. I 
was initially looking at flash based but flash cannot access the devices mic's 
and cameras. Then I started looking at AIR but there aren't many AIR based 
solutions. 

I am basically trying to tie web users and mobile users together. There are 
plenty of enterprise solutions but as with everything I do, I need a ramp-able 
solution that won't break the bank initially.
