You know what, I made an embarrassingly simple mistake. I tried to download the firmware from the compatibility matrix (which is a broken link), and it was in front of my face at the bottom of the downloads section the whole time... http://support.polycom.com/PolycomService/support/us/support/voice/soundstation_ip_series/soundstation_ip6000.html
I installed 4.3.1 and things seem okay now.
