1. truncated digits - i don't know of a way to rewrite caller id on sipx. you might be able to do this on a SBC. We had a provider who sent us prefixes, which we stripped on inbound callers using a regexp in the dialplan to remove the digits in the sbc, so it goes to sipx without the prefix. It would be trivial to simply add a dialplan rule to strip the digit on outgoing calls so it can be dialed back though.
2. anonymous cnam says asterisk - that's really a crappy implementation by the provider. they need to change that. Sorry, in the US its actually against the law to fool around with caller id stuff, carriers arent supposed to do that kind of thing. Ask them to fix it! 3. IVR during call progress - That would be correct, because that is the service they are actually connected to during the transfer (MOH, AA, VM, etc.). Changing that makes no sense to me, because it is programatically correct. Making it incorrect makes no sense (at least to me).
