Nope, there is no way it would work. Whoever created the link(s) pasted them from their browser, and it had a session id attached. Once the session went stale, the link stopped working.
I would try pinging Douglas (I say him, but I don't know who is actually in charge of it), it can be easily changed, but if you don't have access to make the changes thats a different matter.
