There is none. If they insist on a contact format, then they would simply not work with sipx, period. Karoo bridge also uses the contact for states so count karoo out as an SBC option as well. Tony mentioned he uses other SBC to rewrite the contact. You might want to try it out. However I am sure it would cost you more to purchase an SBC than to find another ITSP that is compliant to the spec.

They told me that the contact field for 100 Trying must contain the pilot number, and that for outgoing INVITE, the from and contact must be pilot number while PAI can be used for individual CLI.

So many ITSPs have different ways of identifying caller (for billing purpose) and for presenting CLI. But this is the first time I have heard of someone complaing about the 100 trying. The GW is username/password authenticated, not IP. That often causes a bit more hassle.

Any ideas how I can set the contact field as they wish?

    You should see

    sip/sdp with the invite, then 100 trying, then STATUS RINGING
    with the contact /binding/uri/contact address all set as
    "~~id~bridge@". All of that is the sipx system UA dependent stuff.
    The TO: and FROM: would have be where you would find the phone
    numbers.

    then you should see RINGING and then MEDIA or whatever else
    happens, like a BYE.

    the contact field is for the call as it points back to sipx, I
    would suggest there is not an issue with sipx, unless you can
    perhaps provide better information as to why the ITSP says this is
    somehow wrong.

        We are using a new ITSP where we are seeing the following on
        sipx 4.4

        INVITE comes in
        100 Trying goes back
        6 seconds later CANCEL comes in

        The ITSP support says that the contact field in the 100 trying
        is wrong. It is
        <sip:[email protected]:5080>
        while they want it to be the pilot number
        <sip:[email protected]:5080>

        I am not able to figure out how I can change this.

        Regards
        Sven
