Maybe that's why I don't own my own business :)

Easier said than done. The moment they touch the records they can easily break
things.

If they pay someone else to make edits all year long for redirects on web
servers or email providers that has to be taken into consideration and if it
costs the provider 10 dollars per year how does provider make money once they
have to provide manpower.

Teach a man to fish. If you have go daddy why would you pay for DNS twice if
the how to is staring at you in the face.

The DNS providers aren't sipXecs experts - smaller organizations that need
external users would likely be happy to pay $20 a year to have someone just
handle that stuff.

We have DNS hosted for a lot of firms on a panel server (Linux), and it
supports every record type.

I don't think there's a lack of DNS providers and in every case if the admin
doesn't create the records he can still screw them up. Everyone has different
DNS requirements too.

Would anyone be interested in providing external DNS services for
sipXecs/openUC users? Would end users be willing to pay a small annual fee for
this service? This would eliminate the headache of setting up SRV records thru
a public hosting platform.
