I will have to look into this as to trying to get AudioCodes on the phone is
almost impossible. The support can be costly in the long run however I have
replacement of unit in that as well in the case of failure.

Perhaps having a "Configuration Option" in sipXecs can be considered?

Forgive me as to this statement! I have used T1 cards in an Asterisk
configuration as well. Sh... Sh....

Thanks for the heads up on another viable option.

We use t.38 with Patton all the time. Have for 2 years while testing and
troubleshooting FS fax for sipx.

+1 Audiocodes... mediant 1000 or 2000. From my experience, they're the
only ones if you're ever to consider t.38

We currently have 9 Mediant 1000s with T1/PRI cards and they have worked very
well for us. The only drawback with Audiocodes is that unless you buy the
support, your on your own with everything, including firmware. Even if you get
a device bad right out of the box (which happened to us), they won't even talk
to you on the phone. This doesn't appear to be the case with Patton, however I
have only messed with the Patton MATA FXS. Patton does actually talk to you on
the phone, unlike Audiocodes, and has provided me support and firmware.

Any recommendations for a T1/PRI gateway with support for 1 or 2 T1's?

Thanks in advance,

-Bryan Anderson
