That is very good thing to bring.

Install sipx 4.6 with same IP/sip domain/host name, etc.

Then restore from your 4.4 backup. After you are operational it is a matter
of changing it as described in this thread.

Since you asked, there is no "supportable" method to get to centos 6.0 from
earlier versions. That's a centos issue and they don't have a way to do
that either.
