If it where me I'd probably start with a syslog debug of the polycom.

If the files are getting generated by sipx, then I would suspect a
polycom issue. There is a doc floating around that steps through
getting debug messages from a polycom sent to a syslog server.

You should be able to see in the polycom logs when it processes the
speeddials.

That may give some clues.

Yes, that is what I have on the 3.2.4 phones. All of the 3.2.6
were phones that came in with 3.3.3, I downgraded them to 3.3.2 and then
the latest 3.2.6. I downgraded them in a test environment which is why
the 3.2.4 didn't get upgraded. Spent about 5 hours on this issue
yesterday. I've tried a lot of things to try to get to the bottom of
this :)

Right. Most phones are 3.2.6. I only upgraded a few to see if it
fixed this issue, which it didn't

Firmware with a 3.3.x and above is a significant issue, and it is not
supported by sipXecs at all. Prior to 3.3, you had to define all
variables in the phone. With 3.3, all variables have a default
definition in the phone, many feature’s variables are renamed, and in
fact you have to run the pre-3.3.x configuration through a tool that
converts them. Sipxecs doesn’t create a 3.3.x compatible configuration
file. If any of the phones you have that aren’t working are running
on 3.3.x, you need to roll them back.

  I've tried Poycom versions 3.2.4, 3.2.6, 3.3.2 , 3.3.3. I know
firmware above 3.2.6 isn't support but thought I would give it a go.

I have issue narrowed down a bit. I can add as many speed dials as
I want as long as they are internal extensions. If I add any outside
number or try to do a directed pickup speed dial they bomb out. It
looks like the directory issue is just that the speed dials are killing
the config file so the directory never loads. If I push a config will
all 4 digit speed dials then the directory shows fine and so do the
speed dials. I've tried changing existing speed dials to outside numbers
ie 917175551212 but upon pushing the profile and rebooting I still see
my old speed dial list. Any idea why I can only have 4 digit internal
speed dials ? This wasn't the case before yesterday.

You have to send profiles and reboot the phones in order for them to
load...

     I deployed about 25 Polycom 550's this morning running 3.2.6 . Some
of them have directories, some don't. None of them can see speed dials

see any speed dials. The mac-directory.xml files are fully populated.
Any ideas ?
