Hello,

thanks to a public tender, we now have a new VoIP PBX. (Hint: Never do a
public tender!)
Back to topic, we have a conferencing system that I myself call rubbish.
It is simply too complicated to create/maintain a dial in conference. I
asked myself whether I can the current sdystem with SIPXECs.

So, what I´d like do:
- a public available conferencing system
- one DID conference number for all callers(and simple put/register it
to the current PBX)
- callers dial the number
- callers have to dial their "conference room" number
- callers have to dial the corresponding PIN for that conference room

Long time ago I played with freeswitch:
http://wiki.freeswitch.org/wiki/Conference_Control
Well it worked, but I always wanted a webgui for it.

And here it is: SIPXECS with freeswitch for conferencing, a webgui for
my users and for authentication on that webgui the possibility to attach
my Microsoft Active Directory.

"Every conference has an extension number and can be assigned a DID
Number (used for external accessibility)", according to
http://wiki.sipfoundry.org/display/sipXecs/Conferencing

- Can that DID be the same for all created conference rooms, i.e. that
one I would have given to SIPXECS to register itself to the existing
PBX? Is a setup like mentioned above possible?

Michael
