A little late to the game eh? 4.6 is just getting ready to head out the gates... :-)
We've been doing quite a bit of work on the Cisco phones but they are horribly broken for SIP compatibility. So, we're doing some workarounds. Chances are though we'll focus effort on 4.6 and not 4.4.
