Hello,
A quick note about using the mkbootdisk tool that can be used to generate an initial ram disk adapted to the hardware in use instead of the default ramdisk used by SIS.
This tool is still experimental but can be very usefull to use the latest hardware easily.
Anyway, if you have a supermicro-P4SC8 or supermicro-P4SCi motherboard, you will find this link interesting. Otherwise, the exact command used for generating the initial ramdisk as well as the modified files are avalaible too : http://www.revolutionlinux.com/downloads/OSCAR/Supermicro-P4SC8=P4SCi-en/
Also, I did some patches to the mkbootdisk tool that are necessary to use on a Mandrake system (this is useful only until Brian Finley has not integrated those patches into the main script).
Ben
