Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Jeremy Enos (jenos) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: /proc/.* excludes Initial Comment: On Redhat 9 machines, I've noticed that certain daemons create hidden subdirectories in /proc/ after the host is up for some time. I don't know what creates them or what their purpose is, but I do know that they're purged on a reboot, and that they will make rsync error out w/ code 23 (main.c). I think it has something to do w/ a bad symlink or something. Anyway... it seems like something that would be a good idea to exclude by default. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100259&aid=936611&group_id=259 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IBM Linux Tutorials Free Linux tutorial presented by Daniel Robbins, President and CEO of GenToo technologies.
