Well, I got my kernel issues sorted out, but now when I unpack my tar archive from the CD, I get this error

tar: relocation error: /lib/libnss_files.so.2: symbol _nss_files_parse_pwent, version GLIBC_PRIVATE not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time reference

Strangely enough, this is only effecting the tar executable in the second-stage executable, as boel_binaries extracts without complaint.

I had done a make clean followed by a make install_server_all

I don't suppose anyone could give me a hint as to what I might be doing wrong?
