I don't like it :-)

I'd stick with the version numbers.

In regards to stable vs unstable - I think it depends on what you want
to call a release.  I mean the soon to be released 3.6.0 is pretty
stable and works quite well, but there are still minor bugs like error
messages about "lstat" (or something like that) when you're imaging.

As long as you give it sufficient time for the community to do
pre-release testing, then we could just go with stable and ditch
unstable.  And you can definitely depend on the OSCAR developers/users
for testing SystemImager and report any issues.

P.S. We still need to sort out which Linux kernel(s) to include in the
release tarball + SRPM before we can make a release...
