I think Andrea said he can wait until it's merged into trunk.
 
One question though - where is the dmesg file?  I didn't see it in /var/log/dmesg...  is it just in memory?  That would explain why I only seem to see part of the file when I run "dmesg"...

Do it in trunk if you need it.

If you don't yet depend on it, it will come across when I merge the udev
stuff back into trunk as I'm using it there.
