Hello,
I am doing system-imaging on Dell poweredge 750s and I have been struggling getting
SATA support for the kernel I boot to via pxeboot for a systemimager autoinstall. I
built the kernel using the existing config file in /usr/share/systemimager. I used
this config fil eon the 2.4.26 kernel and built it. I extracted the bzImage kernel
file from the directory structure and replaced /tftboot/kernel with the file, (after
applying patches and building) and it boots, but I get to a point where I get the
message:
cannot stat /dev/sda
I get some more complaints and then it says my autoinstall failed. I checked and I
cannot hit /dev/sda or /dev/hda or anything of the sort when the system is booted.
Has anybody seen anything similar in their endeavors, or has anybody had any success
getting serial ATA support to work for the systemimager boot?
Thanks,
Nick Harknett
