Hi Marat, that would be a great feature!

We use a finish script (written in perl) which fetches a text file table containing machine names followed by a list of options
including hardware type, packages, etc. This works well, but if the user changes the machine and I wish to include those changes
when the machine is reinstall, I have to be able to script them easily. With this we can install to a lot of different hardware types
with a lot of different options and not have 1.5 million images.

Hi experts,

We are using systemimager for two years. Thanks for a great tool.

We have a few machines with the same linux distribution ( RH9 ), but different
configuration, kernel and some packages has been added or deleted.
It would be nice to save disk space because most of the files are the same on
all machines.

Is it possible to do something like : - change getimage script, so it is possible to specify "base image" to compare with , write all extra or modified files to "overrides" directory and make list of files to delete or exclude. In this case, "base image" will be the same for all machines with the same distribution, and we can save a lot of disk space.
Also, it will be easy to use systemimager as system backup tool.

Best Regards, Marat
