I have been looking at SIS as a possible solution to deployment of blade servers. I do not plan to use DHCP for IP assignment preferring static IP assignment to each box, however, do not wish to have to create a local.cfg on the boot media for each box. Has anybody got any experience with a script for this purpose. Ideally as a system boots with the auto boot media, a user be presented with a script to fill in these variables. Also has anyone used USBkey's as the boot media, any advice, i believe this issue shouldn't be a big problem. Regards,

With dhcp you can also deploy static ip addresses. We use it daily for our servers.
