I don't know if I'm answering your question exactly, but what we do is set up
DHCP with static IP addresses based on MAC addresses (acquired via a number
of different ways, xCAT has a cute kernel which just spews MAC address to
console, or manually, or collect them one by one by turning them on slowly in
order while running some collector on your mgmt node -- xCAT has one, and I
think sisuite has one?).
