Thanks, you gave me a couple of fresh ideas for me to try out. I will try the vanilla DHCP, but the only change in the patch was to add an option.
All other setup was checked by si_mkdhcpserver/si_mkbootserver (I just followed the directions step by step, and I double-checked manually (after reading the source of that script). TFTP server works dhcpd.conf sets option-140 and next-server I do need to manually test the PXE client; I've been doing everything remotely so far and hadn't yet hooked up serial console for BIOS redirection (don't recall if x330 does that anyway). > If your machines are very old, I wonder if their PXE code require the > "pxe daemon" (which I've never seen any use for).
