Actually since I had already pulled an image from the various systems I 
designated
as golden-clients, I had already run si_prepareclient on those systems PRIOR to
pulling the images. As a result in the 

/var/lib/systemimager/images/my_imagename/etc/systemimager/boot/

directories on my imageserver already contained the needed initrd and kernel 
files
for the systems I was working with.
