Actually since I had already pulled an image from the various systems I designated as golden-clients, I had already run si_prepareclient on those systems PRIOR to pulling the images. As a result in the
/var/lib/systemimager/images/my_imagename/etc/systemimager/boot/ directories on my imageserver already contained the needed initrd and kernel files for the systems I was working with. Just an FYI. -----Original Message----- >From: Bernard Li <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >Sent: Mar 30, 2006 1:42 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: RE: [Sisuite-users] systemimager boot kernel not seeing network > >If your imageserver has similar hardware as the node you're trying to >image and the OS supports the hardware, you can run: > ># si_prepareclient --norsyncd > >on the imageserver. > >This will generate a kernel/initrd.img pair (generated from your current >OS) in /etc/systemimager/boot which you can then use to PXE-boot. > >This is the new UseYourOwnKernel functionality in SystemImager. > >Cheers, > >Bernard > >> -----Original Message----- >> From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >> [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf >> Of Steven A.
