I tried building 3.7.3 on a debian sarge box and had various problems 
during the make, so it never finished.  Would one expect 3.7.3 to build 
on a stable box or should we try testing?  We are using 3.4 since we've 
had issues with the newer versions, but all our clients are running 
debian stable.
