Bernard-

Thanks, your answer was all I needed to move on. But it looks as if
there may be bugs to report.

The rpm|grep didn't show boot-standard or initrd_template, so I tried
to use the install script. That failed as shown below:

> [EMAIL PROTECTED] systemimager]# ./install systemimager-i386boot-standard
> Using pre-existing package list: /tmp/sis-packages/stable.list
> wget --timestamping --directory-prefix=/tmp/sis-packages --quiet
> http://install.sisuite.org/sourceforge/systemimager/systemimager-
> i386boot-standard-3.6.3-1.noarch.rpm  failed! at ./install line 214
>         main::download_file('http://install.sisuite.org/sourceforge/
> systemimager/systemima...') called at ./install line 269
>         main::install_packages called at ./install line 163
> [EMAIL PROTECTED] systemimager]#

and something similar for initrd_template. But this revealed the
existence of /tmp/sis-packages so I had a look there and found the
RPMs, though not systemimager-i386initrd_template-3.6.3-1.noarch.rpm.

I was able to download the missing rpm from sourceforge and install
them all, though it seems you have to install the server software
even on the golden client. Perhaps something needs moved from
"server" to "common"?

I also had trouble with the Perl modules. I prefer to install Perl
from cpan, but then of course they don't appear in the rpm database.
The solution is to use the --nodeps option for rpm. But you can't do
this with the install script. So I would like to make the suggestion
that a --nodeps option is added to install.

This email list is probably not the place to make these observations
and suggestions ... but thanks again for your help.
