There are a few threads in the maillist archives about missing initrd_templates in the debian systemimager client package. The si_prepareclient fails with an error that /usr/share/systemimager/boot/i386/initrd_template/ is missing.
After searching the debian packages it looks like the only package that contains the initrd_template dir is systemimager-boot-i386-standard which the documentation says should be installed on the image server. So, besides installing from source, which I really prefer not to do because the apt db doesn't know about it then, are there other options for resolving this. It would seem like it might be better to just scp or rsync the initrd_template dir from the image server. Has anyone tried this. Are there other files that prepareclient requires that are not in the initrd_template dir? thx ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
